ШАБЛОН GREAT ALMATY PEAK
THE GREAT ALMATY PEAK (43° 3’17.02″С 76°56’1.35″В) is 3681 Metres high above the sea level.
While observing the Tyan-Shan mountain ridges from Almaty, rocky Great Almaty Peak is seen as the greatest, biggest and steepest of all. However, the ascent’s complexity level is not higher than 1A. Many people call the ascent of the peak – auto-ascent, since the greatest part of the trip can be made by car (until the space station, which is 3330 meters above the sea level).
What would be left is only 2-3 hours of vertical ascent by foot 300 meters in length.

Year-round. In any season, in mountains might experience cool weather, which requires appropriate clothes.When travelling to the mountains in warm seasons, it can be sensible to equip yourself with a sunscreen, a hat and a protection against mites, snakes and spiders. Strong winds are frequent. |

Walking tours from the Big Almaty Lake (2700 metres) to Tourist Mountain (3954 metres) and to Kanysh Satpayev’s (prev. Soviets) Peak (4317 meters) are possible. |
